Delta is a municipality of three distinct communities: North Delta on the border with Surrey, the historic river town of Ladner, and seaside Tsawwassen next to the BC Ferries terminal. Much of the land between them is farmland and protected wetland, including Burns Bog.
Delta is also an economic hub, with Deltaport, the Tilbury industrial area and Boundary Bay Airport. Its communities tend to be quieter and more suburban, with a strong small-town feel.
